A mild tingling or warming sensation may be experienced and some redness may occur. Skin sensitivity can last up to 48 hours following the treatment and some downtime is expected. Mild discomfort may be experienced during the procedure, typically rated a 4 out of 10.

What is the benefit of a superficial strength peel?: Grade 2 Peels are advanced and yet well tolerated; targeting multiple skin concerns at once, such as pigmentation, fine lines, dullness, sun damage, acne, oily skin or textured skin. Designed to unveil a smoother, more radiant complexion, these peels leave the skin refreshed and luminous with minimal downtime.

How long does the treatment take? The full treatment takes 55-60 minutes, including skin preparation, LED light therapy, face and neck areas and post-peel care.

What is the downtime? Downtime is minimal, with a mild flush of the skin and some sensitivity lasting up to 48 hours but usually resolving sooner.

Can I wear make up after my peel? It is advised to avoid make up for at least 24 hours as skin may be sensitive.

Can I go into the sun after my peel? It is advised to avoid direct sun exposure for a minimum of 48 hours after a peel. Sunny holidays are not advised for 2 weeks before and after a chemical peel. When going into the sun it advised to wear SPF 50+ UVA & UVB and a wide brim hat.

Can I sun tan, use fake tanning products or use a sun-bed before or after a peel? It is advised to avoid sun tanning, sun-bed and fake tanning products for 2 weeks before and after a chemical peel.

Can I go to the gym or work out after my Grade 2 Peel? It is advised to avoid strenuous exercise or heat and sweat inducing activities; including exercise, swimming in public pools and open waters, hot yoga, hot tubs, steams, saunas, hammam, and extremely hot showers or baths; as the skin will be sensitive, and the heat may trigger irritation to the skin.

Will my skin peel flake after a Grade 2 Peel? There is possibility that the skin may flake or peel after a Grade 2 Peel. If flaking or peeling occurs, is advised to avoid picking any peeling or flaking skin; only add more moisturiser and SPF. Do not pick, peel, scratch or rub freshly peeled skin. Keep well hydrated before, during and after a peel treatment or peel program.
